Although a practicing veterinarian in Panama City, Florida since 1972 (now semi-retired), Don has taken many workshops from nationally known artists.  Much of his subject matter has come from his extensive travels around the world.  He is now available to teach workshops on a limited basis.  Locally, he has been teaching watercolor classes in his studio for several years.

Artist's Statement: My paintings frequently employ a combination of realism and impressionism, with a touch of abstract design. My newer paintings including the Animal Series reflects a connection with the animal as if both animal and viewer are aware of the other. In addition, I attempt to apply the illusion of detail in many works so that viewers can use their imagination to complete the image. Sometimes, less is more! Enjoy your tour through the galleries!
